I live here, and a lot of people are pissed off at Merkley for the Union Card-Check thing. Many GOP-ers are staying home instead of voting for Smith, but Smith is getting 27% of Dems compared to Merkley getting 8% of Republicans. And with a very lean Dem advantage (1-2% at best), Smith is likely going to keep his seat. Yokem is right about Oregon. A couple of others have said they want to keep Gordo around simply because if the Dem's don't get to 60, the more moderate Rebublicans are going to have quite a bit of influence in the Senate.
