I don’t know why Obama fell six points in two days in the Gallup tracking poll, but it’s probably not much more than statistical noise. Still Obama should be a bit nervous that he is not gaining ground in most polls, even though he has finally launched a counterattack.
I think this week-long vacation was a mistake. A shorter vacation would have been ok, but being off the campaign trail for seven days is rarely a good idea.
